Project Governance

Project governance for the Airports of the Future project comprises two committees: a Program Committee and an Industry Advisory Committee, in addition to a core project management team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the project.

The Program Committee is comprised of national and international academic team leaders who are responsible for all research management aspects of the multi-disciplinary research project and will address all recommendations from the Industry Advisory Committee and the annual symposium..

The Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) comprises executives and senior managers whose expertise and experience enable them to offer informed advice on the strategic and timely development of the substantive areas of the research project. The committee will offer stakeholder perspectives on the functions of the research; ensure flexibility in the program of research; will assess the utility and relevance of the research; and ensure it is strategically aligned with industry requirements. Members of the IAC represent all sectors including the airport and airline sector; security, border control and policing agencies; and regulators.
