Video Gallery
On this page, videos will be placed periodically demonstrating technology created within the realms of the project, as well as important videos arising from conferences and presentations related to the airports of the future.
Crowd counting demonstration
This video demonstrates QUT's crowd counting algorithm. The bar on the right indicates the number of people currently in the scene which is determined using motion segmentation to locate regions of interest. This approach will enable the algorithm to be applied in multi-camera environments and to measure crowd density in airports.
Abnormalities
This video demonstrates an algorithm which detects abnormal flow patterns in CCTV footage. These abnormal patterns can be caused by (a) non-human objects (e.g. vehicles), (b) fast-moving humans (e.g. running, cycling, skateboarding), or (c) spatial abnormalities in restricted areas of the scene.
